CANON
History: Feferi @ MSPA Wiki
Personality:

Excitable, adorable, a little creepy sometimes, but with a heart of gold-- if nothing else, Feferi does a great job at presenting herself as one of the nicer trolls. As Heiress to the Alternian empire, Feferi lacks all the cruelty and conniving of her predecessors, instead possessing a great deal of compassion. If there is one thing that she has going for her, it's that she cares a great deal about her friends, her race, and generally all the living beings around her. Among the many future plans she has for her rule as Empress, many of them center around improving the general quality of life for trollkind. When she dreams, she dreams big, and complete social reform is at the top of her list of Things To-Do. Not only that, but she loves animals, running a sort of makeshift aquatic wildlife refuge out of her undersea castle, where she takes the wildlife she finds and nurses them back to health, regardless of whether they need said nursing.

Optimistic to a fault, Feferi possesses a great deal of confidence. Fretting about the future is not something she is inclined to do. She lives very much in the present, and takes a positive outlook to most situations. Her way of living is to "just do it" if it seems like the right thing to do and there are no obvious downsides to it-- and rarely does she see the downsides to things. This outlook has the unfortunate effect of contributing to a distinct lack of common sense as far as personal space and privacy go, and while not malicious, can be off-putting. She will gladly share someone else's feelings in confidence, simply because she fails to realize that they may not want her sharing, when her intention is really just to help. Her heart is usually in the right place, but her head stays floating somewhere in the briny deep.

Her positive take on life has its downsides, too. The faith she places in those around her, while admirable in the face of many of the challenges she comes up against can keep her from really analyzing a situation before making a call. Her decisions can be poorly thought out, and she can be blind to the gravity of a situation, unless the evidence to the contrary is laid out plainly for her. Even so, her belligerence in matters pertaining to her friends is not all-consuming. She eventually shows the capacity to sober up and realize when she needs to be serious, but only after a great deal of evidence is presented otherwise. This same recklessness can make her come across as fearless, although she doesn't know what dangers may really lie ahead to actually be afraid of them.

Despite being a princess, decorum is not her strong suit. Her manners and mannerisms are offhand and frank, occasionally bordering on rude or condescending at times, though not out of cruelty, just misplaced well-meaning and poorly-timed teasing. And then there are the fish puns. She makes them frequently, whether or not the situation is particularly appropriate to be making them. Everyday chatter? Of course! Dumping your best friend? Definitely! Somehow, she still manages a small degree of diplomacy. When faced with the prospect of dreamless sleep, Feferi takes the initiative to contact the otherworldly Horrorterrors (much like the beast that raised her) and convinces them to produce bubbles in which her friends can dream. The side effect of these bubbles is that they also happen to collect all of the dead of their session, and their failed session, and are right where Feferi winds up when she herself is killed. Even after death, she finds ways to be helpful, using the dream bubbles to deliver a message to Jade to try and help ease her into their new dreaming arrangements.

It should be no surprise that with so much ambition, Feferi has a certain sort of... enthusiasm to her demeanor. Which is to say that she is constantly excited. Always and forever. There is absolutely no bounds to her energy, and in fitting with her positive outlook on life, she just finds everything ------EXCITING! And why aren't you excited with her? Even when faced with the destruction of her planet, most of her race, and her parent-type guardian, she still manages to find something to be -EXCIT-----ED about. She finds it difficult to contain herself at times, and the highest point of her excitement is expressed mainly in "glubs" (presumably a unique sound made only by other sea-dwelling trolls, like her) and emphatic additions to her text-speak in the form of dashes before uppercase E's to represent her trident.

INTO THE HEDGE
Seeming: Servant
Role: A Fairest entertainer, specifically a singer
Abilities: Her voice the ability to influence those around her, physically and emotionally. A song might relaxe the muscles, alleviate a headache, or makes someone sleepy. Or, it could do the opposite-- give someone a headache, make them tense, or jittery, or uncomfortable. It could inspire happiness, sadness, anger, relaxation, or even arousal. The louder her voice is, the more effective it is, though at a whisper there is little to no effect. Once she's done singing/speaking, there's nothing to maintain whatever effect she was causing, so emotionally it's up to the individual how long it lasts. Physical effects will tend to stick unless there is something actively causing them-- a headache caused by a head injury, for example, will come back as it normally would. Undirected emotions can have an unintended negative effect on people around her. Excited shouting, for example, might bring on a feeling like a sudden sinus infection. Casually conversing in a normal tone could cause confusion in the listener, since there would be no focus, so conversation is best held at a whisper on her part. And, of course, she has to be able to speak at all-- laryngitis, breathlessness, and ball gags are her top three enemies.

* permissions post and open communication will be used to make sure no godmoding or otherwise uncomfortable situations arise.

Description: Shape-wise, she appears mostly as she does in canon, with horns, fins, and black glossy hair down to her waist. Her silhouette is still that of your average 13-year-old (troll) girl, though she remains on the short side. Her eyes are still dark, though her yellow sclera are more gold than they once were. The most notable addition is a gradient of iridescent scales, extending from her fins onto her cheeks, down her neck and shoulders. The rest of her skin not covered over by scales is still gray, with a slight pearlescent sheen.

Reasoning: There are a couple reasons that voice-related abilities fit in with Feferi's personality and self in general. Her voice can be used to have a restorative effect, making it the perfect ability for someone with her compassion and desire to help and heal, as well as her former role as Witch of Life, whose domain was healing. However, on the other side, it could just as easily be used to harm-- much like the destructive voice of her lusus, only at a much lower level. Much like the responsibility she would have shouldered as Empress, she has the power to do good or bad, depending on how she uses that power. Personality aside, the use of her voice in a song also ties back in with her aquatic theme, as an allusion to sirens and mermaids.
